Notifications: People like "my" recording... Huh?

When logged in on https://www.jacktrip.com/ I see several notifications that “so-and-so liked my recording”.

What recording? Clicking on any of these notifications take me to pages I don’t recall having even seen, let alone recorded.

I was wondering that too because I didn’t have any recordings at the time but I did interact with others who had recordings so that’s what it means I think. That feature probably needs work or different wording.

Google inquiry says:

JackTrip notifications for recording likes are platform alerts generated in your user interface when another user interacts with your public or shared audio/video session recordings. They appear in the notification center of your JackTrip Desktop App or web dashboard to inform you of platform activity. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Overview of JackTrip Recording Notifications

  • Activity Tracking: The top-right menu bar and notification panel track interactions such as new followers, comments, and likes on your uploaded or shared studio recordings. [1]
  • Recording Visibility Settings: You only receive public interaction notifications if your recording status is set to Public or Unlisted and shared with others who can view and appreciate the content. Private recordings restricted strictly to studio admins do not generate public social engagement. [1]
  • Alert Types: Aside from social likes, JackTrip also triggers distinct functional audio cues or alerts for session milestones, such as when a recording or live capture successfully starts or finishes. [1]
