How can you test record yourself so as to hear how others hear you?

I’ve done a couple of Jack Trip sessions in others’ studios. If I wanted to join my own studio for a few minutes and record to see how the drums are coming through, how would I best do this?

Currently, the easiest way is to just set “Self Volume” to 100 under “Soundscapes” (see bottom right of screenshot). This is a percentage of how loudly each person hears themself versus others, so 100% means “the same as other people will hear me.”

Just for posterity, this feature is now called “Studio Echo” and available to admins under the “Studio Settings” menu. See Hearing Yourself on JackTrip for more details.

Alternatively, you can also easily record yourself with the click of a button. See Broadcast and Record with JackTrip.
