JamKazam, does offer more possibilities to find musicians. (JamKazam)
This may also be possible with Jacktrip. A clear list (including search function) of musicians with their instruments, level, country/distance, etc. who want to play with others and with whom communication can be made (including signaling).
Perhaps a map with location would be an extra nice visualization.
If you click the âconnectâ button on any of the musicians listed on jacktrip.com, you can learn more about them and send messages to coordinate a time to connect. Like any messaging app, these conversations are both private and persistent. Is that what you mean by âsignaling?â
Currently one would have to click through every result to find someone with a matching genre/instrument, which is certainly not desirable! When we launched this, I think we were more concerned about starting out with zero (or way too few) results â often referred to as the âcold start problem.â Itâs encouraging to hear that weâve reached a point where adding more search filters than just distance would help! I hope that we can add those soon.
Sorry for my late response.
Thanks for the explanation. I now understand that you can communicate via the âconnect buttonâ and the bell.
I think it would indeed be useful to see a list of musicians with all kinds of search options and possibly invitations. Iâm curious about new developments.
Hi Mike, itâs a great improvement that you can now search more easily by musician and style!
A group from France and the Netherlands will be making music together soon, and theyâre between 400 and 460 km away from the server. It seems to be within reach!
