Loss Concealment
New studios now have loss concealment enabled by default. Powered by AI, this should greatly help improve audio quality for less-than-perfect internet connections.
New Broadcasting Menu
To make it easier to broadcast on JackTrip Radio, we added a new menu in the JackTrip room view. This has all the same controls as the prior “Radio” tab, which is now removed to favor of the new placement and design. This brings the accessibility of broadcasting right inline with the main experience.
Moving these controls now lets us also expose new features, such as:
Private Recordings
Paid subscribers now have the ability to create private recordings without broadcasting! Based on your feedback with security and privacy, this lets you create private recordings without needing to livestream during the session.
Private recordings will be available for download and they can also be played and accessed via private unlisted links on JackTrip Radio. All private recordings will also be automatically removed after 30 days.
Along with this new capability, unlisted broadcasts will also be recorded privately for paid subscribers. Public broadcasts have not changed and will continue to be recorded for public viewing and discoverability.
Support Chat
There is now a small chat widget found in a few pages of the Virtual Studio website. If you’re having trouble with anything, feel free to open it up to ask a question in real-time, and someone from our team will respond accordingly.
